LOCATION: THE STOOP

Let's face it.

Our fears, I mean.

Fear is the driving force behind many of the decisions we make, or do not make. Fear has the capabilities of being a crippling agent to one's dreams, or it can be the very fuel that pushes another to exceed boundaries unknown.

Having stumbled across one of my favorite episodes of late 90's/early 00's fame "HEY ARNOLD!", I automatically thought of the many people who have inquired about my recent travels. This is because, fear is often at the forefront of reasons why most people don't end up travelling. Being a person that encourages others to pursue travel in any form or fashion, I always come into an encounter with the response of " but... isn't it dangerous " or the more common " I'm scared something will go wrong ".

And in some cases, it is. And yes, there is always a possibility.

But should that be enough to deter us from our desire to travel?

It's uncanny how accurately Stoop Kid's persona prior to meeting Arnold, is almost interchangeable with that of those who "want" to travel, but refuse to do so because of the notion of tiptoeing the boundaries of one's comfort zone.

But you know what? It's absolutely fine. It's normal for us to want to be comfortable.

But rarely do we ever get to experience the great things in life by staying mundane and routine.

Take it from Arnold.

So remember...

It's absolutely fine to be a little nervous and shook up.

You just gotta believe in your self...
