LOCATION: NYC

Plenty of us have a self procured definition and standard of "traveling". Some go by distance, some go by country. But there always has been somewhat of a stigma on the thought of traveling in one's own backyard.. The convenience of proximity often reduces the glamour and mystique of our own stomping grounds. But in reality, someone out there probably fantasizes and dreams of the paths we frequent daily. So what if we switched perspectives for a change and saw home through the eyes of a tourist, a far fellowed wanderer? With my close relatives from Singapore stopping by NYC, I had a chance to hang out with them for a quick afternoon of wandering around, and this also allowed for me to get my feet wet again in the very city I have become unacquainted with over the past years of on-and-off touring; the very city that sits comfortably behind my broad shoulders everyday that I think about some more "exotic" location. I think it is important to be able to appreciate where you are from, for if you do not acknowledge your origins, no matter how far your mileage may run, you may never know where you're truly going.

Down below are some sights that caught my eye within the process of readjusting my way of envisioning "home". Enjoy!
